Great timing.

Any chance of a 3-D home video version? I saw it in 3-D, and while it wasn't always convincing (the trailer beforehand for The Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D worked better, actually) it was a damn nice effect.

I heard great things about it, but I never got a chance to see it in theatres. I may blind-buy it, though.

Just went to see it today. I loved it. I will definitely be purchasing it. It's the best kids movie since Sky High.

Yes! The earlier, the better! Can't wait for the cover art. Hope they use the theatrical poster.

I got it early at the Real Canadian Superstore. The packaging is GREAT, but I haven't watched the movie yet. I saw it in theatres and loved it.

Just got it today. Have not had a chance to see it yet.
The slip-cover has a little wheel you turn and it changes the scene of the kids in front of the house. Open it up and turn the wheel and the house changes.
Cute packaging.

Inside is also a $3.00 off coupon/check "DVD Cash" on select Sony DVD's.

Pre-ordered from Columbia House (late Sept. with a B1G1). It arrived yesterday but no slipcover which I've heard so much about. Insert advertising other Sony DVDs but no coupon either.

So on the 3d Question - does anyone know if a 3D version of the film will be released on DVD?

I had high hopes for this one but found it just so-so. Maybe the 3-D adds something to it?

I also thought the 2D version was so-so as well, the 3D really made this a fun film..

There'll be a DVD Talk review eventually ... Sony screwed up and sent us the fullscreen version, so I'm waiting on a widescreen version to review ...

I really enjoyed this movie, much better than any animated film I have seen this year (including Cars). I haven't seen Polar Express yet, but I immediately appreciated the technical aspects of this film regarding the motion capture and also the dynamic camera movements.

Near the beginning of the film, with the friend dribbling his basketball, moving side to side, with the camera floating around him, I just couldn't help but grin the whole time, amazed at the quality of the animation. All of the characters were done very well with the exception of the Pizza delivery guy, I didn't get why he was in this movie at all.

I only rented this movie, but whenever I get around to picking up a Blu-Ray player, I definitely will purchase this movie on that format.

Actually, the dribbling was the only thing that stood out to me as false. The animated ball does not bounce the way a real one does. It's a little slower.

I can see how people might be disappointed in this movie, because I was expecting a little more myself. But I still enjoyed it. Good Halloween movie.
