New version of Arthur(1981)?

Hi, does anyone have any info on a new edition of this movie? I have the barebones, full screen version WB put out early on in the DVD game and would like to have it in widescreen. Thanks.

At the recent Warner Bros. chat at the HTF, they promised it was on the schedule as a Special Edition widescreen release for 2007.

Thank goodness. When I read the thread title I feared they were gonna make some ultra-lame-ass remake.

This is waaaay overdue, and I'll be more than happy to double-dip on this one!

Just thought I'd point out that there is a double feature editon out there containing both Authur and Authur 2:On The Rocks. The Authur disc is the same disc currently in circulation. I am a fan of both movies and was dissapointed that 2 was badly panned by critics, citing that it proved that only money could buy happiness (obviously, if you have seen the movie, this totally missed the point).

Glad I picked up Arthur 2: On The Rocks seperately, I love both films.
