Any word on the Lady in The Water release date?

I haven't seen anything on this yet. I know it just came out, but some movies like Clerks II already have a date.

Everyone has said this movie sucked. I doubt it will have a big DVD release. If anything, it might come out for a month then go out of print.

Thank you for your insight into the matter. I dont think that he asked for a review or an opinion of the movie, but rather a release date. Welcome to the forum but please dont threadcrap.

Wow...the first two posts of this thread were like the future of DVD Talk. Anyway, I haven't seen any info for this movie, and I can't speak to the quality of it. I'm sure we'll hear something soon (month or so?) because of a holiday release.

I don't see a long theater run, so I would say around Halloween.

That's just my opinion though, so please, please, don't take it to the bank.

I haven't heard anything yet but I'd guess November or so.

Also just guessing, but I would say early December, in time for X-Mas.

double wow! By your theory, then the The Village, Gigli, Diary of a Big Black Woman, Big Mommas House, Deuce Bigalow European Gigolow, Crossroads, Date Movie, and Glitter should be Out of Print. You must have an insight to the DVD industry.

Judging from it's lack of box office I would imagine a three-four month DVD release window, max.

I hope so. I look forward to getting this on DVD. The shorter the wait the better. Obviously.

i thought the movie was pretty good. it was not a typical m. night film as the ending was not shocking but overall, i felt the story was unique and well made.

billthesaidso, threadcrapping is against forum rules. If you aren't interested in the DVD, please don't post in the thread.

I'd bet on that too, and be excited about it.

That would be my guess, too.

And for the record: I kind of liked Lady In The Water.

This movie wasn't bad at all. It actually was a decent tale that showed positive results when people of different backgrounds work together to solve a problem.

From dvdactive.com:

Title: Lady In The Water (IMDb)
Starring: Paul Giamatti
Released: 19th December 2006
SRP: $28.98

Further Details:
Warner Home Video has sent over the official artwork for the widescreen and full screen releases of suspense thriller Lady In The Water which stars Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeffrey Wright, and Bob Balaban. This M. Knight Shyamalan film will be available to own from the 19th December, and should set you back around $28.98. The extra material has yet to be revealed for this one I'm afraid, but we can confirm that the audio will be provided by English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 EX tracks. We'll bring you further details very shortly. Stay tuned. For now though, here's our first look at the official artwork:

Thanks for the info. I wonder if there will be more M Night short films on it from when he was younger.

While I really didn't care much for this movie, I might actually pick it up once it gets cheaper just because I love James Newton Howard's score for the movie. It was amazing!

After all the bad buzz and reviews (both professional and amateur), saw this at the dollar theater and liked it a lot. Will be picking it up when it comes out. Love the cover art.

cheers,

Great cover art. Here's hoping for a change to a Vista release.

This is actually a WB release, so the best we can hope is for a 2 disc special edition.

Been waiting on a release date for this one. Very nice artwork (I wouldn't have bothered to add the scrunt, but at least it's the original one-sheet, more or less) and hopefully a decent amount of features.
