Dawn Of The Dead 2004 - International cut
Hey all,
I know the thread is here, but searching has turned up no results. can someone please point me to the post(s) on the differences between the International cut of this film and the US Director's Cut -- also, a website on the topic would be nice too.... Thanks |
I remember there was some digitally covered boobage in the U.S. unrated cut DVD.
|
Thats the only difference between the 2

Was there ever an official reason given for the cover-up in the US Director's Cut?

Easily the most bizarre edit for an "Unrated" DVD. And then there's brief female nudity during the end-credit sequence. -screwy-

I have both the U.S. unrated and the Japanese Limited unrated and the blurring is the only difference. The picture on the R2 disc is much better than the R1 though, as well as a kick-ass DTS track.

There is an A & B comparison here:
http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=13171 See how the nudity is covered up by blood on the windshield in the US version. |

Yeah, it's not a big issue that ruins the movie or anything (though it does add a small discontinuity when you see the car's winshield a little bit later without the greater amount of blood), and it's not worth the import for only that reason. It's more confusing than anything else.

Hey all,
Actually, the zombie in the CGI BLOOD scene seems to have been added digitally after the fact as well.... Later, Matt |
