Has anyone noticed how the covers vary?

I was at Borders and the cover was the same as the theatrical one-sheet.

But at Best Buy, it was that travesty cover.

I saw this tonight at Borders as well. This release is one of the strangest I can think of, having two separate and completely different cover artworks plus the rental version not having the special features. The cover art at Borders is much much better and doesn't look like some straight to video crapfest like the other one does.

It sure did sell like hotcakes.

Stores ordered quite a few copies and most were sold out by Thursday. Well, sold out of the WS version, FF were still available.

I went to 3 store and finally got the very last WS edition at Walmart.

i picked this up the other day and i usually buy fullscreen or "foolscreen" as my people on this refer to it and now I am looking at the back with the special features and it reads that it has, "deleted scenes; feature commentary with director, richard shepard; commentary with pierce brosnan, greg kinnear, and richard shepard; making the matador featurette; the business and the threatment: feature radio programs discuss the matador; tv commerical; theatrical trailer"

does the widescreen verison have other material also, outside of the bonus disc that was pictured before from walmart?

What a shame there is so much confusion over the release of such a wonderful film!

i was at best buy today and compared the widescreen and fullscreen side by side and they had the same special features. glad i don't have to return the fullscreen version now.

Some additional weirdness: my local Hollywood Video carries a widescreen version of the film with (according to the case, anyway) all the special features of the sell-through release. Did they really make a featureless version of this film just for Blockbuster? I know BBV is a big fish, but still...

Sadly, yes. I had the version.
