Homicide: Life on the Street Complete Series 11/14/06

Per TVShowsOnDVD.com, this set will include all episodes plus the three crossover episodes with Law & Order, which the individual sets did not include, and the movie. Retail $299.95. Cool file cabinet/box case style. I almost pulled the trigger on a relatively cheap copy of season 1 and 2 today, glad I resisted.

That's a decent deal - I probably spent that amount on the whole thing and is generally with 30% off SRP.

I'm a little pissed that the Law & Order crossover episodes are being included.

Wow. I almost picked up this series during the 20 percent off sale, but didn't. I am very glad now. That was close.

Pretty box, too bad I won't have it. Already got Seasons 1-5 and videotaped L & O crossover episodes. Too late to turn back.

Also, A & e has saturated the ebay market.

It would be nice if they also sold the L&O episodes along with just the packaging for us, real fans, who already have all the season sets.

Personally I'd want all crossovers included in any season sets I buy. Like Law & Order crossed with SVU and Trail By Jury, crossovers are not included. I'd rather have them and have the ability to ignore them than not have that choice at all. But yes, it does suck for those who have already purchased the individual season sets. I just haven't pulled the trigger because the individual sets are so expensive.

Damnit!! I just bought S1-5 on DDD during their 20% off sale.

Now I have to decide if it is worth unloading them now and holding out for this.

Yeah, that annoys me too.

In the long run, it won't matter though since I plan on buying all the L&Os from S4-S10. Maybe I should say long long long run considering the snail's pace L&O is being released.

Pretty nifty... I'm on the fence about this, but I also know that this will be landing right around the (likely) 20% off DDD sale. With DDD already having really good prices on A&E stuff, I suspect the price on this will be too good to resist.

I agree. SVU did that in the first season I believe, annoying.

Either way, Where are the rest of the L&O seasons?

Well, that really sucks. But that's how it goes sometimes. At least I've had time to relive and enjoy this show without having to wait for this new release.

Was my first thought as well... never got around to getting the individual season releases but I'm definitely getting this.

Any word on special features?

I only own seasons 1+2 and 3 at the moment, and have been awaiting price drops on the remainder. (I missed the Amazon blowout last year.) However, if there are special features in addition to the L&O eps, I'll offload my sets ASAP.

Nice set...but I'm NOT double dipping...nope, not gonna do it. Which makes me curious how this set's sales wind up comparing to the orginial individual seasons.

1 of my all-time favorite series, though I started to loose interest after Andre Braugher left.

Very, very nice packaging. Unfortunately, I already own all but s7 and the movie and I could care less about the crossover episodes.

Just curious, what season was Andre Braugher's last?
