So, is CUJO Gonna Bite or Just Roll Over and Play Dead?
A few months ago, the word was that CUJO would make its widescreen home video debut along with new S.E.'s of THE DEAD ZONE and PET SEMATARY; now, all I see is confirmation of the latter two, complete with cover art. So did CUJO get cancelled? Delayed? Is it still on for September 26th? What's the dealio?

I think I read at Home Theatre Forum that Paramount realized they only had TV rights to the Republic catalog, not DVD, so CUJO, along with the John Wayne classics was dropped from schedule. Lion's Gate still controls this stuff.
Which means while cable TV can have nice re-mastered widescreen masters from Paramount via Viacom, the DVD will be the same old cruddy master from Lion's Gate.

This info may very well be true, I just saw this multi-pack available on the same date as the other two, but Cujo is not in the set. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...v=glance&n=130
The only title that is really crying for a new release is Cujo, so this all just seems like a waste of time now.

It may be delayed. Paramount still hasn't listed it on their press site. I do know that the title was in production. Dee Wallace has mentioned her participation in it, so it is definitely coming.
But when...?

here is the post at home theatre forum
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/...5&postcount=14
so basically Lions gate still controls CUJO and the John Wayne films that was announced earlier this year, and Paramount will no longer release back catalog titles!! Disappointed, to say the least.
