I've also read that the Best Buy happy meal might contain the Train Wreck bonus DVD. Not sure how true that is though.

Well.. I looked it up on their site and there's an FYE near me, so I guess I'll go for the bonus disc unless it's one of those 20 minute discs. FYE is one of those places that charges over retail, aren't they?

Normally, but a new release like this should run around $17-19 during release week, probably less if you factor in the mail-in rebate they'll likely have for it.

Do FYE rebates involve chopping a piece off the DVD cover or insert?

is that the 'train wreck' thing, or is it something else. moriarty reviewed this at aintitcool here http://www.aintitcool.com/node/30659...lerks_2_review

According to that AICN review there's THREE commentaries.

Cast & Crew Commentary
Technical Commentary
Unused "Podcast" Commentary

According to the official site, Circuit City is having the Train Wreck dvd:

Circuit City's version of Clerks II will contain an exclusive BONUS DISC that contains Train Wreck videos and more.

Walmart will package an additional Buena Vista title with the disc for free.

FYE will have an exlcusive MINI COMIC with their package of Clerks II

Yesterdays Newsaskew correction:

CORRECTION: We got things a bit mixed up with the Clerks II DVD releases: It's actually the Circuit City version that will contain the comic, and the FYE version that will contain the Train Wreck bonus disc. Like we said, prepare to buy up multiple copies if you want your View Askew collection to be complete!

I have the dvd here, the podcast commentary is them sitting in a theater talking about the movie. They talk about how they think this is the first commentary to to be done in a theater. The audio does sound different from the other two commentary tracks.

So is this a one disc or two disc release?

FWIW, the screener copy I got (clearly labeled "Check Disc") is a 2-disc release, and includes a dozen or so "Train Wreck" shorts on the second disc, along with the documentary and what-not. I'll try to have a review up by Wednesday or so.

So, the DVD at FYE will probably be almost the same price as the happy meal box at Best Buy then.

Usually, FYE does offer a discount on new releases as well as a rebate. So you'd like pay $19.99 and get a $7 rebate for Clerks II at FYE. That's speculation, though I can't imagine they'd charge full MSRP on release day for it.

Wonder how many of the Train Wreck thingies will make it onto the FYE disc?
