Alfred Hitchcock Presents Season 2 ----> 10/17/06 (tentative)

Tvshowsondvd.com is reporting that Universal is eyeing to release the second season of Alfred Hitchcock Presents on October 17th. More info here:

I just hope that they don't release it using DVD-18 disc.

Great news. I was getting a bit skeptical about a second full-season release. Just in time for the next sale-that-shall-not-be-named.

I ended up returning the first set due to the numerous DVD-18 problems that were reported on many websites (including dvdtalk). I'll await news on how these may be presented before deciding to purchase. Universal's shortcuts (I assume) to curtail production costs really baffles me, especially considering how problematic DVD-18's have been. Just my two cents...

Great news about the release. I bought the first season and finally have had a chance to watch it. Found out that the fifth episode on disc 1 side A doesn't really want to play for me, at least not the first 6 minutes or so... way too late to return the dvd now though, damn dvd-18. While I love the show, I will not buy season 2 if it's the dvd-18s again, just not worth the risk and I don't have time to watch every episode through immediately just to see if they are ok.

Good news. I was hoping that it wasn't going to end up being a series that got dropped. My wife and I watched the whole first season and found no problems with it, so I guess we got lucky. I'd definitely like to see it not on DVD-18's, but I'm sure that'll be the case as always.

Thank.god.

I just hope they don't go the DVD-18 route. That caused a few problems last time.
