Robin Hood: Men in Tights - 9/5/06 !!!!

I was shocked not to find any recent posts about this, since info usually shows up here before it ever hits DVDPriceSearch. Men In Tights showed up today on the list of new titles added!

Retail price of $14.98, no other details yet on any of the sites currently selling it.

Argh. After much searching I just handed over $55 to Circuit City, and with their free shipping it might not even be here by 9/15. Ah well, all I hope at this point is I get anamorphic copies in the box set, I'm sure this will be something ridiculous like $7 on release day.

Added to my list, thanks! That keeps me from buying that expensive box set with iffy anamorphic issues.

Excellent. I'm always up for any Robin Hood that can speak with an English accent.

I don't care if it does have a large picture of Dave on it.

Frankly, i'm suprised they haven't released it before this with him on the front since he'sin the movie alot.

Thankfully i dont have to buy the set or beg for a copy.

"A chastity belt! That's going to chafe my willy!"

"Prepare for the fight scene!"

This one makes a great double feature with Spaceballs...

Awesome, thanks for pointing that out. All the movies in the boxset will be available for individual purchase on the same day.

RH:Men in Tights,Silent Movie,Twelve Chairs,Young Frankenstein,High Anxiety,History of the World pt.1,To Be or Not To Be all on 9/5/06. Cool.

And DDD has most of these for $10.33. They don't have YF for some reason yet.

the MFSRP on this box set is a cool $100 or on sale at Amazon for $50+. So, it would be no fun to anybody to pay $100 big alone just for this DVD. A movie like this is supposed to be fun and not burn a hole in your wallet.

Best thing fans can do is check ebay and see if anybody lists this DVD seperately or if they ever sell used seperately out of the box. I am sure there will be some kind of way for someone to pick a copy up without having to shell out to much mean green.

Ok, checked ebay and there are 2 or 3 listings for the version from the Mel Brooks box set all fetching around $20 a piece. The DVD is in a slim case and not the standard keepcase. I think $20 alone is a good price but I would go no higher and wait for the single disc as the box set alone can be had for around $50 bucks. Sellers on ebay will be fortunate to gross $30 alone on this dvd because the box set for $20 more can be obtained elsewhere for around $50. This should be an item worth browsing ebay over just to see what people pay for the single disc alone. I mean somebody's got to get hot and pay near the price of the box set.

I still picked up the set (DDD sale), a few of the movies I hadn't seen before so I am looking forward to some funny blind buys.
