Also, a person's blood can boil, and the only thing that really gets any hotter is his temper.

I brought the worst scratched disk (the one that would say No Disk in my Momitsu player) to Hollywood Video today and they gave it the treatment and it took out all those scratches! It's even seen in my computer drive now, the most finicky of my players.

Lots of good info here about scratched DVDs, thanks everyone. I also have a few old cd-rw's that will not read on my computer (i never use cd-rw's anymore because i now know they suck). But I still have a few old ones with pictures on them but they have some scratches on disc so I'm thinking of taking them to Hollywood video.

Just wondering if any of you know any tricks specific to CD-RW's? I tried to search, but it wasn't very helpful. I've also disc doctored 2 of them, but it didn't help either and just scratched them much more. Also, I'm hesitant to boil these since I thought a CD-RW would be more sensitive to getting screwed up by heat. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It was stated in the boiling threads that some use toothpaste to fill in the scratches and if memory serves, someone one advocated turtle wax.
