Okay guys. I picked up the 2 disc with the bonus disc at best buy. I had a 10% off coupon and a $5 reward certificate. So, I made out pretty well.
***Edit: Did anybody else's bonus disc have some pretty heavy circular scratches? I'm thinking because it was just on a cardboard. I guess I don't care too much because it's just a bonus disc, as long as it plays.

Having not seen the movie in theaters, but enjoying the first two, I just watched the 1-disc version and thought it was a quite good movie. I also watched all the extras except the commentary, and must confess that they're thorough enough for my tastes -- I thought the half-hour making of was interesting and plenty.I certainly don't feel like I'm missing something having not bought the 2-disc version. I have the Best Buy bonus disc if I feel compelled to see anything further, but I don't know that I could take JJ and Cruise gushing over one another any more than what I've seen.

So I decided to go ahead and buy this one, but I went for the single disc this time for 15.99 at target. This was probably one of the better movies from last summer, but the 2-disc seemed like it was too much at 24.99.

Future Shop mistake
I live in Canada and just got the 1-disc version at a Future Shop in Markham, Ontario. Imagine my surprise when I find a disc of Mission Impossible: II inside a brand new, shrink-wrapped Mission: Impossible III box! Has this happened to anyone else?

I got it at BB with the bonus disc the other day.
I have to say that most of the stuff on the bonus disc is worthless. Sure, it's around 60min long...but it's mostly generic EPK stuff with sound bites from the cast repeated 3-4 times. It's either 4 or 5 featurettes, and only one is anamorphic. The anamorphic one was the only worth watching. I believe it's called 'designing the mission' or something like that, and was around 10min or so.

Finally watched this tonight. I got the two disc set and it looks and sounds amazing...except the mentioned artifacts in the Vatican scene. This had to be a coding error, it is only for a second but it is very noticable. The features are pretty decent, if a little promotional. Good behind the scenes but a they use too much actual movie footage.
