This is what interested me:

- Sounds like another Friends set is in the works.
- The Batman animated may get a widescreen release.
- 60's Batman is an issue between DC and Fox.
- Fastlane release is unlikely because of music costs.

Most of what was asked didn't really interest me. I was hoping for more than 1 HD DVD question.

Very glad to read about the anamorphic Justice League season 2 and plans for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Disappointing news about China Beach. That and thirtysomething top my most wanted DVD list.

I mentioned this a while ago. Are they still going with the scrapbook idea?

All in all that was a very disappointing chat that was more about WB promoting upcoming releases than sharing information with the consumers. I quickly tired of reading the response "it's under consideration." Tell us how we can get more involved in taking things from "under consideration" to having an actual release date.

As for 60's Batman, it isn't even a dispute between DC and Fox, it's DC only. DC has stated that they do not want any other version of Batman available that differs from the comic book version. As long as the people that made that decision are in power, that's the way it'll stay. If they couldn't release the TV series to coincide with Batman Begins, which would have made them an assload of cash, then they're not going to do it.

Agreed. Wish they would also give more detail on "music may be cost prohibative". Heck, if you tells the fans it may cost millons for these sets to come out and then a few mil more for music maybe that will give some context rather than just vague statements!

It was a general "any plans for tv on HD DVD"?

answer was something like "you can expect some exciting news on this front but we can't announce specifics at this time."

I hope Smallville Season 5 makes it on HD this year.

I find humor in that, in every one of these chats, some enthusiastic nerd chimes in, "Why don't you release such-&-such?!"

"We don't own that."

Seems to happen three or four times a chat. I mean, if you're such a fan of some thing, you think you'd know who owns the rights.

I think Ron Epstein asked about something that HBO owns.

Loved the show. Just bought the 10th season for $16.99 at BB last week and sent in my $50 rebate. But sorry WB, I'm DONE with that show. I'm sure there are tons of deleted scenes but too little too late.

The ownership of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. seems to be in dispute according to tvshowsondvd.com-so Warner Brothers was wrong. No one asked about Space Ghost,Birdman or The Herculoids but they(WB) seemed very up and up about Magilla Gorilla and it looks like s2 of Huckleberry Hound is nowhere in sight.

Maybe with the Friends they'll release a box set and call it, "The One With the Stuff You've Never Seen" and just include all extras (interviews, commentary, etc) and deleted scenes, but not the actual episodes again.

I don't think they'd get much out of re-releasing the same thing in a different style. Especially when most people have it already, and wouldn't repurchase at a high price just for a few extra scenes of something.

all the questions about relatively insignificant TV shows and movies, but no one asked about the new BOGARTS, KUBRICKS, FORBIDDEN PLANET and BLADE RUNNER...among others things of more merit...

WARNER we are well aware of the excellence of the war cartoons created by our studio as such we plan to handle them in a very special way in the not too distant future. we are hopefull you will pleased with the effort.
I wonder what "in a very special way" means.

JonHale Warner Bros., Mortal Kombat is a very popular and successful franchise spanning several mediums. I am down on my knees right now begging you to release the one and only season of the live action TV series, Mortal Kombat Conquest on dvd. Again, MK is hugely popular. What reason could you have not to do so?

WARNER Mortal Kombat is not ours.
Good reason.

ArynLeroux Hi Warner thanks for taking the time to do this chat: As a big fan of 70s/80s TV, My question is do you have any plans to release any of the following in season sets ? CHiPs, Spencer: For Hire, The Streets of San Francisco ? ThankYou Much!

WARNER We are considering CHiPs, no plans on the others at this time.
Fucking kickass! CHiPs is my most anticipated title, and has been since I started collecting DVDs a few years back.
