Weird Science / 16 Candles OOP originals still worth anything?

I know at one time i could fetch up to $80 for each of these. Now with the newer releases, are they worth anthing more?

Also any difference in the quaility and sound?

Basically the only reason that an OOP edition would have any value once a newer edition hits the shelves would be if there are extras that were dropped. I don't believe that either of the titles you mention have anything about the OOP editions to make them of interest to anyone.

well, it goes from non-anny to anny and 2.0 to DTS so you decide.

DVDTalk's review of Sixteen Candles

(note that the framing is different on the releases, with the first release showing more picture)

Ah, the good ole days of selling OOP DVDs and making $70.00 a pop. I only wished I stacked up and sold more original copies of Scarface, Weird Science, and Jingle All The Way back then.
