Why would one need a fan living in Iceland?

Aside from about 5 titles, the rest of those I had previously owned the dvd and replaced with the HD version.

Cinemaddiction,

I remember your set-up from an earlier thread. Didn't you used to have a Rodney Copperbottom cut out next to your DVDs? You should put it back...I thought it looked really good there.

Please! Let's not rehash the issue of the fan. It's over, and done with. Let's move on.

slop: Very nice set-up! I like how you make the most of your space with those storage units

Indeed .. nice, tight .. and clean. Refined even! I'd be afraid to touch anything.

Question though .. I see a subwoofer, but no speakers!?

I got the speakers installed into the ceiling. If you look at the first pic, you can see the right-front speaker in there (the A/C vent is the next thing in the pic), and cut off from the pic would be the center speaker directly above the TV and the rest. It's a pretty sweet set-up, but my bedroom is directly above, so when the speakers are going, my room's floor rumbles pretty good.

And those spinning racks are awesome - together, they fit close to 2,000 dvds, all of them very easy to access, and as you can see, they don't take up too much space.

Oh, useless info: The first two racks are movies only, and the third one on the right is music and TV shows. And I've placed some box-sets randmoly on top...

Also, that little effigy on top of the TV is St. Claire - the Patron Saint of Television - she glows in the dark!

Nice collection.

Is everyone going to have to update their collection pictures once their massive box of DVDs come in the mail (from the DDD sale) and get added?

Here are my DVDs...

and here is what I watch them on!

When I was uploading these pics tonight, I saw that I still have my pics from last time I did this (early 2005). I can't believe how WHITE the paint was (and how much my collection has grown!)

Firon: It's nice to see how your collection and theatre has come along over the past year!

nice pics and setups, slop and firon. I'm totally digging the movie posters. For the both of you, are they originals? I"d really like to get a Darko original theatrical. The Notorious poster is superb. One of my favorites. I've been holding out on taking pics of my own setups and collections, but definitely feel inspired to do so after viewing these great collections.

Is that really the best clock you could afford, Firon? Why would you invest thousands and thousands of dollars on a home theatre and DVDs then sit in a room with a crappy clock? If you want to impress anyone, at least get a decent clock dude.

Nope - they're 24x36 reprints. They're cheap and frames are easy to find.

Yeah, the clock is cheap, but you oughta see my 36" heavy duty, gold-plated oscillating fan. It puts any other fan you've ever seen to shame. I'm not going to post a picture, though, as you all may become insanely jealous at it's coolitude.

Thanks for all the comments!

Why can't everbody enjoy other member's HT set-ups without some moronic, deceitful reply, like this, obviously plagiarizing an idiotic statement from a previous post, edeavoring to deliberately attempting to continuously threadcrap this thread. You will be reported to the administrator.

Firon, are those shelves adjustable? I like the look of them. It is a nice setup by the way. Oh and single...

MOD NOTE: STOP THE OFF TOPIC COMMENTING. If you guys can't stay focused on the collections w/o adding the frivolous remarks about fans, clocks, etc. we'll have to shut down these threads all together.

Let's see if you can get it right in Pt.10

BTW I know closing these threads is a bit extreme but I'm doing it specifically to draw attention to the types of posts/comments we are trying to avoid.
