Gilmore Girls Season 6 --> Sept. 19

Tvshowsondvd.com Just posted that the sixth (and the creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's last) season will be released just in time for the seventh season on the CW.

Without a doubt, the most beautiful show on TV today.
Couldn't agree more!

I really hope there will be more commentaries on this set, one was not enough for the fifth season, it just sucks though because the chance of an ASP commentary is probably lower than 'Everwood' getting a fifth season

Great Show but i wonder if S6 will be the end of a good thing. Since the shows creator's have now left the show and will leave it in the hands of someone else to run things for S7 and beyond. I guess time will only tell!

I was really kinda hoping (considering the first half of the season) that the cover art would break with tradition (slightly) and have them in separate photos looking angry. They look too cozy there considering how season 6 starts.

I just hope this season of '24' comes out around the same time - I'm gonna need some testosterone to balance out the estrogen overdose from this.

Looks like there will be NO SPECIAL FEATURES for this release...

Honestly I want to know what Warner Brothers has against this show...

Kinda, yeah. It isn't terrible, but they kept the principals separated for too long... which didn't work because (a) the logic behind it felt artificial and (b) their interplay is a large part of what makes the show great and losing that hurts the show.

I wouldn't say 'sucked' as much as 'unique' or 'different'... this season there was A LOT more Drama that Comedy (where in the past it was rather even, or comedy was more paramount), and the show seemed to be coasting more than ever. It was actually easy to see that the creators where running low on story lines, but they did come up with some pretty good ones, eventhough they may seem desperate: (such as periodic returns of Rory's old flame, and a new addition to Luke's family tree)... but all in all it was still a very entertaining season... especially episode 19 (the wedding episode) which is my third favorite episode in the entire series...

Had they used that cover idea, I would have at least considered forgiving them for the complete mess that was season 6.
