"Unbreakable" disc 1 problem?
So i went to pop in the movie disc of the 2-Disc SE today, I am not sure if I watched it once before or if this was the first time. Anyway, i put it in my very good, reliable Sony, it booted and played the production logo and warnings, but then the player stopped and said "Disc is Dirty" . i've never had this problem with a legitimate disc.
i checked the disc and cleaned it with a computer wipey, but it was pristine. not a blemish or mark or dvd rot. nothing. it is an immaculate looking disc. anyway, i put it in again and same exact thing at the same exact place.
then, i put it in my region free Phillips and it seems to play it fine with just a hiccup that i can't explain, but goes away. i haven't watched the whole thing, but so far so good.
i don't understand why it would play in one and not the other.
so anyone have or had a problem with this disc?

If it's your first time viewing with the disc, then there's a possibility that it was a defective disc.
About the Sony and the Phillips, as far as I know most Sony DVD players have the most unreliable error correction and optics system on any major branded DVD player.
