Speed Racer Volume 3: Will conventional packaging ever be available?

I'm one of those anal retentives that can't stand the circular tin packaging of the Speed Racer Volume 3 Limited Edition, and was wondering if a non-Limited Edition version of the set (with more conventional box set packaging) is available, or if not, will it ever be?... Sort of like the way the special edition of Basic Instinct at first came with the "icepick" packaging, but then later came with the regular keepcase.

Now this supposed to the last dvd in the series, right?
I have all of them but I don't remember seeing the episode where Speed finds out Racer X is his brother. The episode ends with Speed running after Racer X as he rides off.

It is not the last DVD in the set. FHE decided to split the last set of episodes into 2 more discs. Personally I thought it was rather money hungry of them to do such a thing when all of the remaining eps could have fit perfectly on this last disc.

The first 2 dvds were awesome - packaging and all. Theyn they released that nasty tin a-la Total Recall and now this cheap box with a toy Mach 5. The keepcase is still inside but there is nothing special about it.

I just hope that the last disc is nicely packaged and has some great extras.

I will say however that the quality of these episodes far exceed those found on the old previous dvd sets released by SpeedRacer.com for several hundred dollars. I own it and have done side by side comparisons on several eps and the FHE episodes outshine them in every dept.

You got a point there since both Speed Racer Volume 1 & 2 got their alternate packaging. But after more than a year of release and Volume 4 recently released I doubt that it would be given another packaging treatment.

The video quality on Volume 3 is AWFUL- they used too much compression to fit close to 6 hours on one dual-layer side. I'm glad the new volume has fewer episodes on it just so they hopefully use a higher bitrate.

Looks like this is the final lineup of the Speed Racers in Limited Edition Packaging
