I used to care about the boxes, then I realized that I care more about the content.
You'd care if it had a closeup of some gay porn, instead of The Simpsons.

Great news! The standard packaging box set will be mine.

I'm marking my calendar!!! Thanks!!

There is a lot of talk about head in this thread. I'm getting this set whether it is in the head packaging or standard packaging.

Keep the heads coming! They are looking good displayed together

I'm getting the standard box if the option is there, but I'm buying this set regardless. Looks excellent.

Another vote for more head

Man...it looks like they're going back to only two seasons a year, though. I don't understand that, personally...it's a series that has the market for three releases per year, and they've enough seasons pending to where releasing three at a time would still mean 3-4 years before they catch up.

If they have to sacrifice 1 release per year to keep up with the amazing content that they have continued to provide, that is completely fine by me. I was fine with 1 release a year.

I'll pick this up.

dsa_shea 05-11-06 09:26 PM

Head or box? Make your choice. It's a tough one for me. At times I want one but other times the other looks (and feels) just right.

Two words: Frank Grimes.

(Or "Grimey" as he liked to be called.)

I WANT IT NOW!

I'll be going with the standard packaging as well. Uniformity is a really nice thing to have sometimes.

Makes moonshine after prohibition comes to Springfield. Distributes it hidden in bowling balls.

What season has the burlesque house episode? Great episode with my favorite musical sequence.

bunkaroo 05-12-06 11:04 AM

Nevermind. Researched my question and it's in THIS season. "Bart after Dark" is the episode title in question. Uh-YES!

Are they talking about the bordello?

Yeah. The episode with the big song & dance number about who puts the spring in Springfield.

"Take it off!"

It was a burlesque house, not a bordello. One puts on near-strip shows, the other houses prostitutes.

Ummmm ... have you see the episode which you are describing, and from which he is quoting? (That's not to say that your response is in any way factually inaccurate.)
