Re: Cartoons not on DVD

I am pleased to say that a lot of the shows mentioned in this thread are now on dvd and i have just went on a MEGA impulse splurge on 80's classic cartoons such as he-man, MASK, etc. Check out your favorite sites and see if they have the cartoons you're looking for on dvd. Chances are it's already released

Still upset that Disney didnt release any more Disney Afternoon boxsets last year, and doesn't seem like they will this year either.

Re: Cartoons not on DVD

The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin came out this week.

The Complete Care Bears comes out soon too.

It's nice to see we're still getting shows year after year.

Still no sign of the pre-code Betty Boops. According to the Wikipedia article, the rights are owned by Lionsgate, who are sitting on them.
Four years later, still no Betty Boop.

The Wikipedia article says that Olive Films announced plans to release them on DVD/Blu. But there is no mention of it on the Olive Films website.

Not exactly the most in-demand cartoons out there, but Gravedale High and Camp Candy have yet to be released.

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Shout! Factory told you to expect it soon, and now they've scheduled a date! May 28th will see the animated show's DVD release with Beetlejuice - The Complete Series as a 12-disc set. Priced at $99.99 SRP, we're expecting all 94 episodes (sporting 109 segments) to be included on this. Official studio details aren't available yet, though, so that's just an assumption. We'll bring you finalized details, including any bonus material that may be on board, once Shout! Factory sends us a press release.

Five years later, DVD Savant has reviewed the first disk from Olive Films. It's still missing the first years, but otherwise is pre-code.

It looks like the 4 volumes will not be in chronological order. Here's the cartoons for Vol. 2:

Betty Boop: The Essential Collection, Volume 2 (1930-1934)
- Dizzy Dishes (1930)
- Bimbo's Initiation (1931)
- Boop-Oop-A-Doop (1932)
- Betty Boop Limited, The (1932)
- Betty Boop's Bizzy Bee (1932)
- Betty Boop's Ups and Downs (1932)
- Betty Boop's Museum (1932)
- Betty Boop's Big Boss (1933)
- Morning, Noon and Night (1933)
- Betty Boop's Little Pal (1934)
- Betty Boop's Prize Show (1934)
- Keep in Style (1934)
