Excellent...this time they're actually going to get it out in time for new fans to catch up before season 3 (that should be happening...) I was shocked last year when Season 1 came out 3 weeks after season 2 began...Definitely getting this one.

Best show on TV right now (yes I know Sopranos is back)

I'll be buying this because Veronica Mars is smarter than me.

Great news, can't wait to pick this up...this is my favorite show on TV right now and I've already watched through the season one set twice. Hopefully there will be more in the way of extras this time around.

Got into this show with the season 1 set and have been anxiously awaiting this news so I can get my next Mars fix. Nice turnaround time!

This would probably be a good time to finally pick up season 1 I guess. I've been wanting to watch this show forever.

This is awesome! Besides 'Gilmore Girls' this is the best show on television (and next year both show will probably be on the same night on the same network - heaven).

Hopefuly this time around though Warner Brother's makes up for season 1 in the special features department.

.
that is hoping the creators don't end it now after 7 seasons (they're not coming back next season if there is a next season.)

Would it be too much to ask for a release date for the (inevitable) HD-DVD (or Blu-Ray) edition? Or are we gonna be exected to double-dip?

I know, I just don't like the talk about ASP and her husband leaving 'Gilmore Girls.' Last night when I watched both Gilmore and Veronica, when the credits where rolling on gilmore girls, my friend and I actually got a little choked up when she said "this is the last time will ever see "writen by amy sherman-palladino & Daniel Palladino"

I wouldn't hold my breath on this one if I where you. The next-gen players havn't released a single TV-on-DVD release yet, and it seems to be a while off before they eventually do. Plus 'Veronica Mars' is more of a cult show, and shows like "Friends," "The Sopranos," and "Lost" will be brought on HD/BLU a long time before "Veronica Mars."

I'd actually might start watching the older stuff on abc family, I've watched one episode and liked it enough to maybe start watching on syndication. (i believe it was the episode where one of the girls had to get the newspaper together in such a short time because everyone quit because the boss was being a pain.)

Rypro, you really should, its a really great show eventhough it doesn't sound like it from plot descriptions and such. But if I where you I would start from the beginning (probably in a month or show it should be back around there on ABC family) cause the episode you where talking about if I am correct aired last season, and while its still really funny etc, you missout on a lot of stuff if you havn't seen previous episodes (a lot like veronica mars)

Nice...I quit a few months back because my Replay broke with three episodes I hadn't seen and I want to watch the season in order.

No Extra Juicy Edition = No Sale

But anyways, I'll definitely be getting this the first day so I can plop down and watch the mystery all over again.

I really wish they'd put a little more effort into the second season box. Doesn't look like much more in the way of extras than we had for the first season. It would be nice if Warners recognized the gem they had. I'll buy it anyway, though - can't wait for tonight's episode!

cheers,

-the Jesus

Whether or not Warner Brother's put them on the DVD set themselves, I'm hoping Rob Thomas records atleast one commentary for this season like he did for the first season.

Damn, I wanted to get this, but the extras are basically nil, so I think Ill pass for now...But if/when it comes out on HD or BR or a super set then it will be mine.

The extras look better than the first season's ones (ok, not that it's hard to beat deleted scenes and 30 seconds of footage in the pilot) so I'm looking forward to it. I hope they add features instead of taking them off like for S1 - I was so pissed when the took off the bloopers; I love those things.

I finally got around to picking up Season 1 over the weekend ($23 at Target ). I've been wanting to see this show for ages. Now I'll have the chance to watch season 1 this summer, then season 2 if I enjoy it and catch season 3 this fall on TV.
