Scorpion: Beast Stable and Scorpion: Grudge Song - really coming out 5/2?

I found some reviews of the upcoming Female Convict Scorpion discs from Media Blasters here:
http://10kbullets.com/reviews/fpsbeaststabler1.html
http://10kbullets.com/reviews/fpsgrudgesong.html

My question is: Are these really coming out this Tuesday? Both of them? Beast Stable's first release date was 2/14. The release date has been changed 3-4 times.

I love the Sasori (Scorpion) films and I've been eagerly awaiting these discs.

With this company, you just got to wait and see. You preorder your dvd and when you get the mailing notice, it's always a surprise. You just never know exactly when it is going to hit.

Good to see the reviews though. That has to be a good sign. I am pretty anxious to get these myself.

I got my shipping notice today for both Beast Stable and Grudge Song! Everyone with even a passing interest in "pinky violence" films should pick these up (well, Beast Stable, anyway -- Grudge Song's not quite as good as the first three films).

I wonder what's going on with the second film, Jailhouse 41. Image released it a long time ago but it's been out of print for some time. I wonder if their rights expired. It'd be nice if a company like Media Blasters or DiscoTek could pick it up and release a remastered version.

That's great news. Where did you order them from? I want to know when to be expecting mine.

So, its been a week. Have any of you guys gotten your Beast Stable DVD?

I was fortunate to pick up Grudge Song locally, but cant find Beast Stable anywhere. It's finally listed on Amazon and no prerelease information is listed on any site I've checked (which is a good thing). Though, I'm still a bit hesitant. Thanks.

I received Beast Stable and Grudge Song from DDD yesterday. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet, though! Hopefully tonight.

I ordered both of them from DDD, but they sent me 3 (???) copies of Beast Stable and 0 copies of Grudge Song. I was confused. I heard of some people having that problem with Amazon too. I sent 2 of my Beast Stable dvds back, and hopefully I will get Grudge song shipped out for me soon.

Beast Stable was very good. I had heard it wasn't, but apparently, I was given bad information. Kaji was mythic in this one.

Sweetness! Thanks for the confirmation guys.

So, you got 3 and I got 0. Hmmmm .. I want, I want, I want .... !! Anyway, too bad you sent yours back already . I woulda helped that process out.

I hope DDD has this processing mix up pinned down by their next 20% sale. With all those orders going out, I'd hate to make any ethical decisions about what needs to be sent back if the foul ups are in my favor.

Yeah, had you just posted this on Friday, this could have been a situation of problem meet solution. I had Beast Stable DVDs for everyone.

Beast Stable is a great movie. It feels like it's supposed to be the end of a trilogy, so it's not surprising that the original director didn't return for the fourth one, Grudge Song. Grudge Song is certainly watchable (thanks to Kaji) but it doesn't reach the heights of Jailhouse 41 or Beast Stable.

My favorite parts of Beast Stable are the "revenge montage" and the very end. Beast Stable has a fantastic ending. I also like some of the quieter, more reflective moments.

I've sampled a bit of these new discs, and they look pretty good. I haven't had a chance to compare them with the region 2 versions, but I wouldn't be surprised if the discs from Media Blasters use the same masters.

This was the closet thread I could find to ask this in, so here goes...

Does anyone know anything about another release of Jailhouse 41 in R1? If not, is it available for a reasonable price outside of R1?

IIRC, Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion is availale through Media Blasters as well. Any chance of them getting the rights to Jailhouse 41 and making a box set?
