Best DVD of April 2006
What did you think was the best DVD of April 2006?
Not only the best film released on DVD, but the best overall presentation... film, video, audio, extras, etc.
If I have missed your choice in the poll list, please post below.

where is the "none of the above" option? the ones you have up there are pretty weak (not to mention you don't have the "Planet of the Apes" head, "The Long Good Friday") ...but, for me and i'm sure a lot others...
"The Complete Mr. Arkadin" (Criterion Collection)
i have yet to see it, but in terms of presentation (3 cuts of the movie and a novel it was based) it is one of the best releases of the year!

I voted NARNIA, which is a wicked DVD release, in spite of the gross oversight of leaving off any and all trailers...

Again, released on 3/28; let's get that cleared up real quick before too many ape-heads muck up the poll...

The problem with these polls is that because they only offer 10 options, they invariably skew too mainstream. Offering only mainstream options makes more sense in "What are you buying..." type polls, because obviously more people buy mainstream releases. It makes less sense in "Best of..." polls because there isn't necessarily a correlation between what people buy and what they consider best. For example, I'm sure lots of people will buy Aeon Flux, but how many people will consider it the best DVD of the month?
Anyway, I vote for The Complete Mr. Arkadin.

I'd say Mr.Arkadin, too, except it's only the 26th and I haven't got my The Passenger or Elevator to the Gallows in the mail yet, so I'm holding out for now.

The Complete Mr. Arkadin, without any doubt (for me, at least). I was in awe when I finally got mine from digitaleyes.net on Saturday. It's truly in a class by itself regarding anything else released this year.
