Bad Taste: Limited Edition
I just bought a copy of Bad Taste: Limited Edition, brand new, and it doesn't have a limited edition number on the back. I thought these were supposed to be limited to 50,000 copies. Did they just forget to put my number on the packaging or was it later re-released without limited edition numbers?

Was yours packaged like this? (courtesy of dvdcompare)
Packaged in a digi-pack gatefold with holographic cover and plastic slip-case.
The normal edition is just an amaray case, so there should be a difference. All the pictures I've seen of the LE had the number on the back, so it sounds like you got the non LE.

On mine (22,204/50,000) the number is printed on a white sticker on the back of the cover. If you bought a used copy, maybe somebody pealed the sticker off yours.

It is the limited edition in the digipak w/ clear slipcase, not the single disc edition in the amaray case. It was brand new too, even had the sticker on the front of the packaging indicating that it's not for children and another on the back listing the special features - so it was not re-shrink-wrapped. My friend has one with a number, so I know where it should go; it's just weird that it would not have one.

Ooh ooh ooh...maybe it's the original ...yeah, that's the ticket.

Aw, they missed the opportunity to call it "The Gourmand Edition", or something like that.

Just seeing this post takes me back to 1989 and watching this in Sean Wilson's basement with John Kyre, Dennis Holt, and Joe Terranova. You were there too I believe Jeff.
