I know a place where I can pick up a used copy of the 2 disk DVD of castaway for $7.00. Is this a good deal? I know it's oop but I don't know if it is rare.

It's kind of rare, but the one that was issued at Best Buy (with 2 discs) is rarer. If you were to go on ebay you could get it cheaper but if you factor in the shipping costs, you probably will be getting a good deal. It's not the rarest dvd, but that is a good price. Go pick it up.

For $7.00 it's a decent deal, as long as it's in good condition. It's not one that's worth sacrificing quality for a lower price.
