Yeah the first season even includes a bonus episode from Season 2, in which the show completely changed families.

I love it when they re-tool sitcoms, but for some reason I always prefer the first, pre-tooled seasons. Like Charles in Charge's Pembroke season, The Facts of Life's Pre-Jo season (Come On! Molly Ringwald!) and Night Court's Pre-Christine Season. There's a purity to those shows (especially when they're long-running) when it's almost like live theater... none more so than the first season of Newhart (Man, I can't wait until this is out on DVD, it'll blow people's minds!) which not only was pre-Peter Scolari and pre-Julia Duffy, but Joanna had brown hair and the whole damn show was shot on VIDEO! It's amazing how different the same set can look when you're used to seeing it on film.

Here's a question that's been bugging me, while I'm gibbering: What was the last US Sitcom to be shot on video? It must have been in the mid/late 90's...

BOMM,

CS

OT, but I loved when they sang the theme song to this show on Scrubs

My guess would be "Home Improvement."
