Wal-Mart's 5.50 bin
I don't know if this is the same as everyone else, but most of the movies in the 5.50 bin, at my local Wal-Marts, have kind of beat up boxes, and the paper is used looking, and almost always has a few mild hole pokes, or something. Does anyone possibly know why?

Uh, because they are haphazardly thrown into a bin which is rummaged through by pretty much everyone that walks by the bin, hence why it is evil.
With some of them, I don't mind - like most snappers...as I replace those with a printed cover and a keepcase...

One of the Wal-Marts near me has transformed the 5.50 Bin into a 5.50 Shelving Unit, which makes it so much easier to peruse the fine selection of crappy titles that nest within.

Some of the dump bin dvd's stay in there for a long time. I see some that have been in there for at least 6 months. The local Walmart in MA here clean up the bin once in a while and make it neat as a pin, but it only takes a few days and it's right back to normal...Why do you think they call it the Dump Bin? It's a dump!!

They cleaned up the one in my Walmart. Their stacked on a rack and usually all the same titles are grouped together. Found Beverly Hills Cop I and II yesterday. Both mint condition; couldn't resist buying them.

Am I the only one that gets a little upset when someone else starts looking in the bin when I'm looking in it? Kind of anal but dang it, I want to be left alone while I try to find a good deal!

I hate it when people throw other movies into the bin and you get a nice surprise at the register.
I picked up The Thing Called Love (which could have been 5.50) and other copies were in there and by the time I got to the register, it rang up like 9.2x. I was pissed, but got it anyways.

I hate the "dump bin" too... I can see why it'd be easier for the workers to just throw stuff in there w/out bothering to organize it. My wal-mart can't even get their stuff out in time on tuesday most of the time... and it's #6 in sales for the country.
