Which Narnia will you get?

Im still debating , but I think the single.

onebyone 03-30-06 08:35 PM

I am getting the double, and if they do an extended, I will get that too. I really enjoyed this movie.

Drexl 03-30-06 08:38 PM

I don't know since I haven't seen it yet, but if I do it will be the single.

gotrice487 03-30-06 08:40 PM

Double

GeoffreyL 03-30-06 08:51 PM

Double for me

gryffinmaster 03-30-06 08:52 PM

Leaning towards the single disc.

EDIT - It'll all depend on the packaging.

JOE29 03-30-06 08:52 PM

I'll get the double disc set. Might as well, I do it for most everything else. and this looks like a good one.

bunkaroo 03-30-06 08:59 PM

Already got mine. Great packaging on the 2-disc.

What does the spine look like?

Is it like Harry Potter with the year on it?

filmfreak 03-30-06 09:08 PM

I’m going to Netflix it first and if I like it, I’ll get the 2 DVD Set.

fryinpan1 03-30-06 09:11 PM

2 disc for me

Maxflier 03-30-06 09:11 PM

Double

jrobinson 03-30-06 09:54 PM

I can't decide.

Harold Wazzu 03-30-06 10:03 PM

Double, I like the coverart for it quite a bit

NitroJMS 03-30-06 10:05 PM

I'm getting the single. The double disc is horrid and cheap looking. It's just a cheap cardboard slipcase that unfolds like a wardrobe. Definitely not worth the $35 price tag.

shadow panther 03-30-06 10:06 PM

any store exclusives with this movie?

bunkaroo 03-30-06 10:34 PM

It's down in the basement ATM, but I don't recall seeing a number on there. The word Narnia is very big on the spine compared to the other words.

Is it similar to the 2 disc Lord of War?

danwiz 03-30-06 10:50 PM

RENT IT, then - if I like it - I'll decide which version to get. It may be a while before it hits the rental shelves here in Japan, but I have the patience.

A friend told me that it's kind of too much geared for kids and that I may not enjoy it, that's why I want to rent it first.

Libby 03-30-06 10:56 PM

definately the double this film was one of my absolute faves of last year so I cant wait to explore the extras!

JeremyM 03-30-06 10:59 PM

Getting the double disc, but I miss the good old days when special editions were the standard for major releases!

gutwrencher 03-30-06 11:23 PM

Getting the 2-discer. I don't give a shit how the cover art looks or what kind of pakage it's in. Thats crazy.

I believe Target has an exclusive lithograph. Thanks to Speedy and his early ads on that one!

PopcornTreeCt 03-31-06 12:39 AM

Probably the one disc. The extended edition rumors are making me wary.

Kim Olav Svines 03-31-06 04:22 AM

I read in a Norwegian magazine that a 4-disc set was coming in October. They even had a promotional picture for the set. The movie on disc 1, special features on isc 2 and 3, and disc 4 was dedicated to the life and story of C.S. Lewis. I assume this will be a worldwide release, since it's Buena Vista who releases this worldwide.

neocheddar02 03-31-06 05:05 AM

Getting the 2-Disc; I'm a sucker for packaging and the features look great, I'll double-dip if there's a extended/4 discer-hopefully this pans out.

marcellusk 03-31-06 06:39 AM

double for me. I can't stand having a standard version of a dvd. Any pics or links to this 4 disc that's suppose to be out later this year?

I know what is this crap when did they start jacking up all the prices on the 2 disc editions.

mdc3000 03-31-06 08:02 AM

Wasn't a big fan of the movie in theatres, but am gonna give it another shot on disc. I'll pick up the 2discer, since I always have to go for the deluxe editions...hopefully the price difference won't be too huge (like the $10 difference in Kong editions this past week).

cisman 03-31-06 08:53 AM

I voted single disc because there will most likely be an extended edition you can almost be something will be rereleased closer to Prince Caspian coming out.

The only way I'd get the 2 disc is if the price isn't too far apart. On Kong...I went the single disc route and held off on the rip off edition.

jaschiero 03-31-06 08:55 AM

It's hard not to want the 2disc. It's a pretty sweet case. It cover flaps up like the disney PE's, but the side is part of the flap too, and the dvd case slides out and it looks so damn nice.

tdilia 03-31-06 09:12 AM

I'll wait for an extended edition.

Struz 03-31-06 10:01 AM

For Narnia !

...double for me

Captain Jackal 03-31-06 10:58 AM

I'll be getting the 2 disc. Packaging is too great.

xage 03-31-06 11:00 AM

To bad.. Disney US did not carry the UK Amazon Exclusive boxset......

Too bad you don't have a Tower Records near you. The difference was $2 for Kong.

There seem to be no such deals for Narnia though. I'll probably get the single edition because although I love extras, I seem to be spending less and less time watching them.

That box set might let you in on what the R1 2-disc looks like (since they look to be the same packaging).

BTW, that set is very nice.

double for me (oh, wait, were we talking about the narnia disc ...)

The Antipodean 03-31-06 12:12 PM

None. I liked it OK, but didn't think enough of it to buy it.
