Further Details:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced an extended cut of The Missing which stars Tommy Lee Jones, Cate Blanchett and Evan Rachel Wood. The film (which adds an additional 17 minutes of footage) will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extras will include an all-new audio commentary with director Ron Howard, multiple behind the scenes featurettes, and three short Ron Howard films. The disc will be available to own from the 6th June, and should retail at around $19.94. We've attached a small shot of the official package artwork below:

Considering everything else they've released Extended Editions of, I don't see how this is unbelieveable. I mean, they released an Unrated Edition of The Animal!

At least they're including a new commentary unlike other releases where they just recycle it or remove it completely. The movie itself was OK but if it's cheap enough (as in $10 or less) a few months after release, I might pick it up then.
