Does anyone know if there are plans of making this a box set? I just think its a waste to a pay $10-15 a disc!!!!!!!! Thats a lot for only 60 minutes.

Thanks

If its in the wrong forum sorry.

Nothing reported yet but I dont see why they wouldnt at some time, maybe minus the extras that each disc has. Im glad they did the single discs. I just wanted Cigarette Burns to add to my collection.

Perhaps in the future they'll release a set, however, considering the majority of these episodes were so increadibly weak I'm of the persuasion that one should feel fortunate they're being released individually. Cigarette Burns is essentially the only one I'd also consider picking up for repeat vewing. Miike's will at least garner a rental when it rears its head.

It suck if your dvd buying is on a tight budget. I'm buying all of them.

I hope they release a boxed set, but I don't know if they will. I'm not going to pay $20 (CAD) for two of them; that would mean I'd end up paying about $130 before tax.

I'll stick to renting these. At least the rental editions have both episodes on the same disc.

I thought I got my $11 worth. I picked up only Cigarette Burns, but the extras are really nice, even if you know about JC. I'm really happy with it.

I'll rent the others, but maybe Dario's and Miike's will be bought.

But I just got Showtime, so I hope to see these to save money.

I'm waiting on these for either the "complete box set" or seeing them in the dump bin...

Thanks for the heads-up on Future Shop's pricing of the set. I may pick it up.

I'll pass on a box set since there were quite a few episodes I didn't care for.

Just give me:
Cigarette Burns
Incident.....
Sick Girl
Dreams/House
Jennifer
(Hopefully uncut)

And whatever Miike did.

Gotta go with several others on this one. There were several I didn't care for, and at least one I hated, so this way allows me to pick and choose. I'd personally pass on a box set.

Will pick up:
Cigarette Burns
Incident on and off a Mountain Road
Sick Girl
Jennifer
Imprint

Will probably pick up Gordon's as well...

Stuart Gordon is the guy who got me into horror so when i saw his face on the cover I had to pick it up. I ended up getting both of them at Wal*Mart, only 9.60 there, still not that great for only 55 minutes but the extras make up for it. I had read about the idea for the show a few years ago in Fango, but since i don't have Sho, i didn't even know that it was on. So i'll probably be buying all of them even if it is individually. Unless i read from enough people that an individual film sucked, then that may keep me from picking it up.

I was at Blockbuster and noticed the same thing so I rented it there today instead of 2 separate rentals from Blockbuster Online. I haven't popped it in yet so I don't know if all the features are present on the rental version.
If I like some of them, I may consider buying them as PVDs or the eventual set. But considering I still haven't bought any of the Tales from the Crypt seasons yet I'm not sure when I'd get around to it.

They've got it online, when I was just at the B&M, the set was $19.99... just get them to PM the website. Although, the future shop I go to constantly sucks and they never price anything right...

Also of note, the rental discs DO have both episodes on 1 disc, but contain NO EXTRAS. Take that as you will.

MATT

Picked them up there over during the weekend.

Does anybody know what to do with the code that you find as an easter egg? It just says to log on mastersofhorror.net and then what?

Also, does this mean that Wal-Mart will actually stock a Takashi Miike project in the future?

I bought both and I was pleasantly surprised to find trading cards of each director! I plan on picking up each one as they are released. Walmart in MA here had them for 9.64 each, can't beat that!

The extras include a career overview on the director and a doc. with interviews of people that have worked with the director on most of their films. In all honesty, these are so good, that just the extras would be something I'd be willing to get for $10. I can't wait to see Tobe Hoopers retrospective. Should be interesting.

The Best Buy versions of these had an exclusive script to screen featurette on each one. The featurette on Dreams in the Witch House clocks in around 45 minutes. It a little on the boring side but one hell of a lengthy featurette that is an exclusive. It would be interesting to someone who is into filming and angles and such. As well as what goes on between takes of the same scene.

I've seen One Missed Call at Wal-Mart. It's tamer-than-usual Miike but still Miike.

I've seen Izo at Wal-Mart, and they also stocked Last House on the Left.

One Missed Call, I understand, but Izo? Whoa!

And does anyone still know what to do with the Easter Egg code?

(I haven't checked for an additional one on Cigarette Burns, but I found one on Dreams/House)

Is it an extra disc in each pack, or did they make special discs specifically for Best Buy?

They made special discs for Best Buy. It's only a single disc. The Script to Screen Featurette is in the Extras Menu with the rest of the extras.
