You must hate Curb your Enthusiasm. My wife can't watch that show because it makes her too anxious.

Yep, I heard that they were going to do a special to finish it off. I suppose I could wait for the eventual big DVD set that will include everything (ala The Office), but I CAN'T WAIT.

Good. I was hoping for a wrap up episode like the Office had.

I'm in the same boat. Especially since my dvr that had all the eps was erased. This is a must buy for me.

That uncomfortable feeling of the main actor going down the wrong road are the reasons that I enjoy shows like Office, Extras or Curb so much. I watched the first couple of episodes of Curb and couldn't get past Larry David playing George Castanza (who was playing Larry David). I found myself saying "Why is he doing that?" to the point of not being able to enjoy the show.

It was probably during the 3rd season that I tried it again and learned to enjoy the 'cringe' moments. For good or bad, I tend to enjoy this type of humor more and more, much more so than the ha-ha Friends type humor. (Not a knock on Friends, it just seems dated)

I think the reason that shows like this are thought of so highly, they don't push the show to death.

Most of the shows on BBC tend to run for 2 seasons or so (typically the same as 1 season here). Rather than try to fill 'another' season of 23 episodes when they are clearly out of ideas, they do 1, 2 or 3 series of shows that usually consist of 6-12 episodes per 'season'.

It's the old adage "Always leave them wanting more".

Of course, I would love to see what the folks at Wernham Hogg are up to, but I think my imagination is better than what I would find. Probably, the way it should be.

Yep, I love how it is wrapped up nicely.

Hopefully Extras does the same (and can we get a christmas special for Spaced please)
