Since Lions Gate will be double dipping on Saw II in September (or thereabouts), with a 2-disc unrated edition, so that one is out. Waiting, while decent, wasn't that great (although the DVD itself is pretty good). WB is continuing success with rereleases of their older titles so certainly those should be in the mix. For me, though, I went with Walk the Line as it's a very good movie with great performances from Witherspoon and Phoenix and, best of all for sound snobs like myself, it has a DTS track...

I voted Wallace and Gromit. Excellent movie and the bonus disc from Wal Mart turns it into a great DVD release.

I have to vote for Zathura. I felt like it was a very well rounded release, and loved the in-depth extra features.

There's no question about it. I'm surprised only one person has touched on it already. The Warner Controversial Classics box was a revelation (All The Presidents Men. Network, Dog Day Afternoon). Warner keeps churning these SE's out with such fantastic quality, that they put all other major studio DVD distributors to shame. I also like what MGM did with Midnight Cowboy. I think they're finally getting the hint of what a Special Edition is meant to be (I love they're packaging especially). I also had no problem with the image on my home theater.

Network, although I still haven't picked it up.

Walk the Line's 2 disc was extremely inferior for an uber SE with a msrp of 40 bucks. The second disc had less than an hour of content!
