Any idea what is going to be on this special edition? I looked on amazon with no details.

Is this different than the one released by them a few years back?

The ones released before were from Criterion and this new one is the Critter On Collection. I had a critter on my collection one time, but we turned on the light and chased him away with a broom.

It's the same thing. Just a re-release.

I wonder why they are re-releasing this movie. They need to get started on that Bottle Rocket Criterion that many people are hoping for.

I saw it last weekend at BB. It looks the same as the original release, except prehaps a different UPC, and worst part of all, now it is in a crappy case (aka. the one used for Young Mr. Lincoln).

Yikes. I thought Criterion knew better.

I as well cannot wait for that Bottle Rocket: CC destined to be released.

The rights to Bottle Rocket are owned by Sony, who apparently have a policy of not licensing movies to other companies. It seems that a CC Bottle Rocket is at best an extremely remote possibility.

The movie remains in print from Criterion. I suspect that this is being reannounced/reissued or whatever you want to call it because of the changes in distribution with Image announced a few months back. Similarly, 400 Blows is now available outside of the Doinel box set where it was not before.

As stated above, it is a re-release of the original criterion dvd. Maybe intended to go hand in hand with Sodderburgh's Bubble?

Good, I can keep my Criterion version now and won't be lured into a double dip. Thanks, Criterion!

Can you provide me with a link to any store that has 400 Blows for sale?
