Anyone bought the Track Down dvd yet? How is the transfer?

I just ordered it because I have had the movie on VCD for a few years now and think it's actually better than the original Hackers cause it's based on a true story which I've read a lot about. There doesn't look to be any extras but just to have it on R1 dvd is fine by me because I've been waiting for years for this to actually hit theaters or come out on dvd. I also had to order Pirates of the Silicon Valley because its on dvd now and I watched it like a dozen times back on TBS when it came out, very good for a made for tv movie.

Somehow this slipped past me and I never heard of it. Now I'd like to see it.

Wow that review is from Sept 2004!! It's been out 1.5 years and I hadn't found it I know I've searched for it since then but probably always under Hackers 2 or Takedown (since that's the original name)

I bought it shortly after it came out, the transfer is nice although the extras are kinda slim.

Not nearly as bad as I was expecting.

This movie was supposedly based on Kevin Mitnick's story but according to the 'hacking scene' they got it all wrong. Watch Emmanuel Goldsteins 'Freedom Downtime' documentary for the other side of the story.

If you liked Pirates of Silicon Valley, check out Bob Cringley's 'Triumph of the Nerds' and excellent complementary documentary.

I got Triumph of the Nerds in my queue from Netflix to check it out before buying off Amazon. Freedom Downtime isn't on Netflix or Amazon, it's available from 2600s yahoo store but it's $30 which is a bit steep for a dvd.
