Fell off the DVD Budget wagon this weekend

It all started so innocently...Went around Queens trying to find one silly little Pulse dvd. As Friday lagged on, it got infinitely worse and I couldnt find it. So after working out on Saturday, I decided to go to Manhattan to see Running Scared and pick it up. Wouldnt you know, no one had it there, except the shitty little porno stores on 8th Ave. in Midtown. So I bought it. Well cut to today. In Target on Queens Blvd. and guess what's there? That's right, 4 copies of The Pulse. So after listening to my wife bitch at me for 10 minutes, I decided to say fuck the budget and went on a DVD spending spree. I picked up Sin City extended Ed., The 3 Extremes R1 for the Miike commentary and full length Dumplings to compliment my Megastar HK release, Saw 2, and The Ultimate Avengers at Target. The went to BB and picked up Exorcist the Beginning, Alexander DC and Transporter 2 used for $15.00 bucks because I havent seen them and they were cheaper than renting. And to top it off, picked up Deftones B-sides and Rarities and Saw uncut because if Im going to have 2, I need to have 1. Nothing like blowing the budget for a little catharsis. Anyways, back on the wagon tommorrow, just had to vent. I have to say, it sure felt fucking good getting that many dvds in a day again, its been a while.

DVD's are my therapy, screw a $100/hour therapist when you've got a $15/2 hour movie.

No problem. It will simply bring on another DVD shopping spree.

The circle is complete...

The porno stores in and around time square sell regular dvds as well as all kinds of other crap. When I went to Target on Friday, they didnt have The Pulse and I asked if they had any in stock and they said no. On Sunday, lo-and-behold, they had 3 on the shelves.

I do this when my "To Buy" list is over, but I have the sudden urge to buy something...anything!

Walmart's bargain bin was kind to me this weekend:

Willard (Crispin Glover) SE - $3.50
Panic Room (Superbit) - $5.50 (!!)
Rent (2 disc) - $14.69 (or thereabouts)
Street Fighter/Return of the Street Fighter - $0.99

Don't worry; it happens to me as well. I'm not married, so I don't really get nagged about budgeting (except from my parents,) but I've gone into a store to get one DVD and come out with about $100 worth of DVDs.
