Wow, with this and all those Paramount releases just announced, is there anything left of Wayne to release?!

Unfortunately, out of those films, I'd consider only Shepherd of the Hills a classic. (Though I'd hasten to add that it's a vastly underappreciated classic.) I guess the von Sternberg connection to Jet Pilot and the general bizarre-ness of The Conqueror make those two worth a glance by any film buff. But on the whole, this is a rather disappointing collection, IMO.

Will Universal just stop cramming 5 films on 2 DVDS?

Jet Pilot should be 1.33:1. It was shot in 1949, finished in 1950, but not released until 1957.

So true! The Goodtimes release is widescreen, and it's terribly cropped on the top and bottom. I hope Universal reads this before they release this box set. Their laserdisc release of the film in the 90s was the perfect ratio for the film.

Thanks for the artwork. Looking forward to seeing a clear print of 'The Shepherd Of The Hills'.
