Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Rockford Files: Season Two for 13th June 2006 priced at $39.98 SRP. James Garner stars as Jim Rockford, a private investigator who lives and works in his trailer in Malibu, Los Angeles in the popular television crime series The Rockford Files.

The complete second season is spread across three-discs with episodes presented in Full Frame. Further details are TBC.

Woo hoo! My favorite TV show of all time. Wish it were another studio (not Universal) putting out the DVDs, but I'll take what I can get...

I just picked this up today and despite the press release and the back of the package, this is a six disc set. Universal seems to be phasing out the double-sided discs. The only bad part is that the six discs are packaged two on top of each other like the Scrubs sets. Regardless, I'm really happy that they aren't DVD-18's.

Yep, I was Surprised and Delighted when I open it and saw 6 discs instead of 3.
About time Universal got its head out of the sand and listen to the paying public.

I wasn't going to order but now that it is a 6 disc set, I'm sold.
