I love the movie, and passed on the first release, waiting for a SE.

Ths is the first time I've actually had the patience to wait for a SE to get released without double-dipping!

I sold my original copy in anticipation of this release...however, the specs don't have me salivating for it...and I haven't really had a desire to watch this movie since I sold the original, so I may just hold off for now...probably wait for the next gen release instead.

yay finally! i never bought the original release because i knew this was going to end up coming anyway. patience is a virtue and his paid off this time.
on another note, yay for the boondock saints re-release, that was another title i knew would get the SE treatment, and i've been watiting for it.

Saw the cover on Digital Bits? What the heck is up with there being three Napoleons on the cover? That's dumb and makes no sense.

Looking thru the extras for the new release leaves me puzzled. Aren't these pretty much the same extras that were on the original, double-sided release?

Commentary, short film, deleted scenes. I'm of the opinion that they did a great job the first time around and don't see a reason to upgrade until the eventual DVD-HD release. (Do the chickens have larger talons in HD?)

It has all of the same extras on the old release. It will be the same transfer as well.

The added stuff look mostly like filler.

The only MTV Movie Awards clip available on DVD was Napoleon as Batman on the "Batman Begins" 2 Disc SE, and that clip was fucking GOLD. I'd love to have the rest on DVD. Promos like this are fantastic extras, especially in a package like this.

Cover art sucks, though...
