In the spiritof my generous mood, I hope that after us Rangers fans get our 14-game set, Red Wing fans (and fans of other teams) get a collection of similar quality. *

Yeah I know, I'm a real cheapass. ><

Anyways, I was about 6 or 7 when they won the cup, and I really remember it somewhat, but not like I'd like to. I've been a huge Ranger fan all my life though.

Hey!

As a Devils fan, this set contains one of my greatest sports nightmares of my life (I still have nightmares involving MATTEAU! MATTEAU! MATTEAU!). But it does give me hope that one of our... three titles out of four Stanley Cup appearances since you Rangers fans last got one will eventually make its way onto DVD.

I hope every Cup-winning game (at least; hopefully, entire series) would be released. They should just start at 2004 and release them all, as many as they can. I'd pick them all up.

I have been a Ranger fan for almost 30 years, but I'm also a realist and probably one of the only ones who will actually admit that they were lucky in that series against N.J. The subsequent years prove that the Devils were the better team.

I hear ya. Although the 2003 DVD was MUCH better than those atrocious VHS editions of 1995 and 2000. At least the Devils didn't have to buy half of the 80's Edmonton Oilers to get the cup.

GO DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!

A.- It's "Stephane Matteau."
B.- He is from Quebec, Canada.
C.- Stephane is probably a fairly common name in French Canada.
D.- He probably was really good at hockey when he was younger.
E.- Hockey is kinda popular in Canada.
F.- A+B+C+D+E= He probably was not teased a lot as a kid.
G.- You ("Duh Vuh Duh") are a jackass.
H.- Do not ever insult Mr. Matteau again.
I.- I repeat, DO NOT EVER INSULT MR. MATTEAU again.

Woah! take it easy, I meant he probably just got tired of his friends saying "oh did you step on my toe".

Misspelling of StepahnE was copied from above posts.

I loved when he scored to bury the devils and go to the finals. I can't believe my best friend back then was actually going for the canucks, WTF!

Fine, I accept your explanation. Just be careful when you speak about a Stanley Cup hero.

Will do. And please watch the personal attacks, I've heard that is frowned upon here; or maybe put a smiley face or something so I know you are only kidding.

i think he was mostly busting balls.

and going back to the Richter thing, he really carried them, and was clutch for them the entire playoffs...regardless it has been the best bday gift ever. and so far so good this year, for a young team they are playing really well. it sucks i dont get to watch the games out there on the west caost

Does this set come with an alternate ending where the Canucks win the Cup?

The price was better at Amazon with the A9 discont ($68 bucks shipped). Amazon has since raised their price (lowered the discount from 30% to 25%), but I'm glad I preordered when I did...

Too rich for my blood right now, Mr. Arkadin CC and a few others wiped out my funds for the week. It's on my next DDD sale wishlist.
