So is HD-DVD & Blu-Ray going to make regular DVD's cheaper?

I was just wondering. Maybe I should wait a while till I start buying DVD's again. When is HD-DVD and Blu-Ray coming out anyways?

I think so but not in the very near future... It'l take AT LEAST a year for dvd prices to have a dramatic drop.

I dont think they will get that cheaper. The aim is to make everyone switch to HD, not give them a reason to stay with SD.

That would just kill the chances of HD taking off, not that I see it doing all that well anywayy.

So essentially all you guys think that HD releases are going to be the same price as HD? Because frankly, that's what it's gonna take for me to start switching all my titles over.

I'm sure they'll wait until a certain % of people own whichever format wins out before slashing prices.
