I kinda like these 2 movie packs from WB. Alot of these movies are good, but probably will never see a special edition treatment. Also, the price is very appealing as well. I picked up the Cobra/Tango and Cash, Assasins/The Specialist and Hard to Kill/Above the Law discs over the holidays at Best Buy for 4.99 each. Roughly 15 bucks for 6 movies is great!

By the way, I listened to some of the Cobra commentary and let me tell you George P. Cosmatos is probably the worst commentator ever. He pretty much narrates the scenes. I might as well watch the movie with my eyes shut and his commentary will describe each scene in detail.

can you tell me of the 3 you bought were all the movies full screen?

also, do they have the silver band on top or the Action font in red?

Unfortunately all of them are full screen. But, that really doesn't bother me at all considering the age of some of these movies.

Yes there is a silver band on the top with the words Action.

I've listened to that before and about fell asleep, he's absolutely boring. The best part about Cobra is the opening grocery store scene.

To the other post, you can still find the WS 2 packs of these movies. When BB had the 4.99 sale, they had a mixture of the FS and WS, I guess it's a YMMV.

DJariya 01-05-07 09:51 AM

Are you sure there's WS of these movies? When I bought all these at BB, I made sure to look at the back of all of them and none of the 2-packs had WS.

What I found strange was the Triple feature movies had some of the films in WS.

But, I'm not complaining, especially for 4.99 a piece.

I recently saw the It's Alive Trilogy at Best Buy as a WB Triple Feature. It was 12.99 which is a good deal IMO...

Yea, it still says Action Double Feature on the front, but has a orange/firey background instead of the silver banner. Regardless, you got a good deal.

thats what i was wondering...it seems many of these got a seperate widescreen release that are OOP. it has a orange fire background and a marquee banner that says action double feature instead of the silver banner

I wouldn't pay a penny for a foolscreen movie, especially when widescreen versions exist. I hope whoever decided to use the foolscreen versions on these dies of anal cancer.
