I was really hoping Showdown in Little Tokyo would get a new widescreen transfer :(

I'm totally cereal too :(

they should start doing double features with their classics, especially their mgm musicals.

I checked DVDPlanet and they also list an Arnold commentary:

Can anybody confirm? This must be a typo since I'm guessing they are just going to use the original Collateral Damage dvd and doesn't that one only have a commentary by Davis on it? Thanks for any info.

According to the back cover at DVD Empire, no Arnold commentary is listed.

Thanks... Figured it was too good to be true.

I saw recently a Double feature of Showdown in Little tokyo/ Bloodsport .

Phibes 05-25-06 12:23 PM

Tequila Sunrise/Consipiracy Theory (both fullscreen)
Gumball Rally (Widescreen)/Cannonball Run (fullscreen)
are at my Sam's Club for under $9.

Sad that they're dropping the widescreen versions on some of these (Tequila/Theory) when they had both on the single editions, that means no sale for me.

Isn't it Cannonball Run II with Gumball Rally? If so, I believe it was only available in fullscreen previously.

They really missed the boat not pairing Bloodsport with Kickboxer. That's a double feature if there ever was one. Showdown in Little Tokyo could have been paired with one of Dolph's B actioners that Warner has the rights to, like The Peacekeeper.

joliom 08-18-06 08:59 PM

Looks like Warner has upped the ante with some up-coming Triple Feature discs. Lethal Weapon 1-3 Director's Cuts all on one disc for under $15 - that's an awesome deal provided they're not compressed to death or the fullscreen versions. Here's the link to the initial batch of upcoming TF releases:

Cameron 08-18-06 09:53 PM

i assume any special features will be gone from these disc

Cameron 08-18-06 09:58 PM

also note that the John Wayne and Randolph Scott titles are new to dvd

Cameron 08-23-06 08:35 AM

looks like these may be a dvd9 and dvd18...so all special features may remain intact

joliom 08-23-06 04:23 PM

I'm still trying to figure out why they chose Lethal Weapon for a Triple Feature DVD considering that there are 4 films in the franchise. Wouldn't it have been better to do 2 Double Feature releases instead? I don't personally care for Pt. 4 anyway, so it works for me, but in general it doesn't make much sense.

I'm waiting for WB to release more of their Hammer films as double features.

Sabrett 08-24-06 08:57 PM

The Super/With Honors

Because triple features sell better!

dvd_luver 08-25-06 02:14 PM

Moving/Greased Lightning
Over The Top/Demolition Man
Grumpy Old Men/Grumpier Old Men (both FS)
Arthur/Arthur 2: On The Rocks
National Lampoons Vaction/European Vacation
Sphere/Contact (great deal if you don't own any of them already)

I agree. They would have made more $$$ had they done it with 2 DBL features instead. But triple features do sell better and they can make you buy part 4 seperately, so either way they win!

joliom 08-25-06 05:04 PM

Btw, I think we need to change the title of the thread to "List of WB Double & Triple Features"

LoPan5705 01-02-07 02:34 PM

Gettysburg/Gods & Generals
The American President/Dave
Stand and Deliver/Lean on Me
