"I have RAW which isn't nearly as funny."
Yea, I know. Once the girlfriend finished listening to the audio tape she says "Is it on DVD?" And of course I remembered seeing Raw at Target which suprised me as I knew of his comic routine back then. So I go and pick it up at Target. Boy, was I disappointed. It's not even close to being as funny as Delirious is. Oh well. I have the tape and I guess I'll have to be happy with that. Actually, I'm not happy with that, I'll find it by other means.
But thanks for answering my ?

the problem with 'Raw' was that the raunchiest moments never made it to the final R-rated cut of the film, the film was submitted four times to the MPAA and extensive editing to get it down to what the MPAA found to be acceptable.

From DVD Active:
Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced a 25th Anniversary edition of Delirious which was taped live in concert 25 years ago at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. This Eddie Murphy stand-up will be available to own from the 2nd June, and should retail at around $29.97 or thereabouts. Extras will include never before seen footage, an exclusive interview with Eddie Murphy, and a Making of Delirious featurette.

The only thing new on this 25th Anniversary edition is the "making of..." featurette and packaging. If the featurette is under 10 minutes, I'll just stick with the first release.

I wonder how much unseen footage warrants a 2nd disc. I'll double dip if the extras are solid. Also, a new interview with Murphy could be interesting since he seemingly distanced himself from the performance so he could pursue more "family friendly" movies.

So I just realized this was actually released. Did anyone get it? What are the differences between this and the original release? Worth upgrading?

Yeah, I saw it at Target the other day and was wondering the same thing. I'm so tempted, but I don't want to shell out more $$ for what might only be a 10 minute doc.
