Oh, well I guess. Aside from that one, I have no problems with the show. I love all the topical and political humor in it. It can go over the heads of some viewers (not a jab at the fans, just stating what I have seen), and that can be frustrating.
I am a fan for life, I will buy the sets and see the movie. I love this show!

I sure am enjoying season eight so far. I'm almost through disc 2 and it's by far the second greatest season of the show (season four is unbeatable). I don't know what the hell people find wrong with this season, and I don't want to know.
That being said, I'm stopping after season nine. That's the last good year, where the good outweighs the bad. Plus, it contains my pick for the final classic of the series, "Lisa's Sax".

One store had the shelf tag mentioning the $10 rebate off S7 or S8, but it never said anything about needing to buy both together.

Since I don't like the "head" style boxes, Costco worked for me.

Are the insides of the 'normal' ones the same as the seasons 1-5? A note from Matt, and a 4 disc layout?
What's inside the head? I've seen the outside but never the in. Is there a Matt note?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just picked up 5 and 6, so I know the answers.

Did anyone else listen to the commentary for "Mountain of Madness" yet? The "fan" sitting in on the commentary acts very oddly and I almost have to assume this is longtime writer John Swartzwelder actually doing a commentary since he keeps bringing up Swartzwelder.

Also anyone else notice that the head and standard box have different disk art.

Really? I figured that they would be the same discs, just different packaging.

Is the US Maggie Head the same size as the last two?
We Canucks got US editions of the Homer and Marge heads with (easily removeable) bilingual stickers stuck on, but this time we manufactured our own, and the new one is only about 2/3 the width of the others. It looks very weird on the shelf.
I'm used to bitching about French ruining the cover and spine art, but I've never seen one that had gone on a diet before. It is supposed to be that skinny?

I just picked up the 8th season, and I have NO plans of stopping. Seasons 9 and 10 are fantastic seasons, but their consistency takes a fall seasons 11 on, but I love the show too much that they are more than worth buying.

Anyone found the "promos" featurette? According to the booklet it's supposed to be on disc 4, but it seems to be either well hidden (an announced easter egg?) or left off.
