If it seems like the interview subjects are acting: Keep in mind that they have probably been asked the questions many many times before. The coroner...on the other hand...well he really must have been enjoying his 15 min of fame.
By the way, as to the audio, after I saw the film last summer, I searched on Rottentomatoes.com reviews, and read some of the negative ones. Some claim that there are people who listened to the tape, and in fact Treadwell doesn't tell his girlfriend to run, but rather to stay and try and help him. Don't really know the veracity of these claims. |

Anchorage Daily News Treadwell: 'Get out here. I'm getting killed' Although the article also says:Among the last words Timothy Treadwell uttered to his girlfriend before a bear killed and partially ate both of them were these: "Get out here. I'm getting killed.'' Treadwell later yells "hit him with a pan,'' Wilkinson said. So from the way the article relates it, it sounds like Treadwell first tried to get Amie to leave, but when she stayed he suggested methods of attack. |

So "Get out here" sounds like it may be right. |

Just caught this on the dvr the other night from Discovery Channel and it showed the letterman scene. Maybe he only asked it be removed from the dvd.
Anyway, still have about 30 mins to watch, but thought it was an interesting look into the human mind and what seclusion and living with/wanting to be a bear will do to the human mind. |
