Mogambo and 3 Godfathers to be released on 12/20/05 as Target Exclusives

According to Davisdvd.com, this two John Ford titles are going to be released this next Tuesday as Target stores exclusive.

The Target retail chain has scored a couple of exclusives from Warner Home Video, namely the John Ford-directed classics Mogambo, starring Clark Gable, and 3 Godfathers, starring John Wayne. Frankly, these two slid completely under the radar until the Target circular hit this week's Sunday newspapers. WHV's press site doesn't even list them as part of their inventory, so I can't confirm any disc specs. However, it is safe to assume that they will feature remastered transfers. Look for them exclusively at Target (for now) starting this week at $9.99 apiece.

Personally, although I love the low price, I think this idea sucks, since I don't have a Target in Puerto Rico and I was awaiting for the release of both of this films.

Cool. Watching the 3 Godfathers right now on TV, will pick it up (even though I have to go 40 miles to get it)...

Good movie.

Really weird marketing idea to give Target DVD exclusives, but unlike Best Buy and the Oblongs at least Target is not overcharging for them. I just picked up the John Wayne box for $17 at Sam's with the Searchers and Stagecoach in it and these would be nice Xmas additions as I have been in a mood for classic John Ford lately.
