I was disappointed as well. Not nearly as "dark" as I had hoped - and the storyline was very cliched...we've seen this movie before, and done better.

I had never managed to make it through the novel, and wasn't too impressed with the trailer. However, I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. The alternate endings should be interesting.

I didn't even think this made it to theatres yet.
When I clicked on this I was expecting a thread about how studios were announcing DVDs even before the film hit theatres.

aww, c'mon people, it was a fun little holiday movie...dark humor, violence and some T&A...what more could you ask for. It wasn't a mind-blower but it was nice to see Harold Ramis back in stride.
