this was the second John Cusack film that disappointed me this year - I was expecting to like this alot more.

Hopefully, Universal will market the film more honestly for DVD.

I haven't seen it, but heard good things. Will check it out on DVD.

I was disappointed as well. Not nearly as "dark" as I had hoped - and the storyline was very cliched...we've seen this movie before, and done better.

Weird, the movie was too dark for me. I guess I was expecting something funny and offbeat, without so much

. How was this movie advertised, anyway? I don't really remember commercials for it. I did see the trailer, but barely remember it. Just knew I wanted to see it cuz I like John Cusack. Then again, it's not like he's been in a great movie in a long time...

I had never managed to make it through the novel, and wasn't too impressed with the trailer. However, I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. The alternate endings should be interesting.

I didn't even think this made it to theatres yet. When I clicked on this I was expecting a thread about how studios were announcing DVDs even before the film hit theatres.

aww, c'mon people, it was a fun little holiday movie...dark humor, violence and some T&A...what more could you ask for. It wasn't a mind-blower but it was nice to see Harold Ramis back in stride.
