theres probably not a complete listing posted somewhere but wouldn't it be easier to look for movies/dvds released before 2000 ?? and whats the point of this btw ?

If you want more help it might be useful to tell people what you are looking for and why? If you share more people are more likely to reciprocate.

Thank you very much, nemien. I'm not looking for any specific titles that were released during this decade. It's just that I have not been a big movie goer during the decade, so I'm trying to catch up on what I may have missed.

In that case you best bet is to try some searches at www.imdb.com I believe you can find things by movie release date and on the individual movie listings you can see if it's been released on DVD yet.

You can try dvdpricesearch.com

1. Select 'power search'.
2. Put in the range of years you want.
3. Hit the search button.

I put in 2000-2005 and it came back with a list over 9500 titles. There are probably more not in their database, but it's a pretty good start. You can narrow your search from there.

So wait... you are looking for items released on DVD in "the new millenium", but only ones that also had their theatrical run during the same period? Methinks the 9K+ list that the prior mentioned post would generate wouldn't be what you want.... Are you interested only in films with wide theatrical release?

Maybe the place to start is an IMDB list, perhaps of the top 100 grossing films in each year, or... Something...

That'll give you a pretty good sense of what came out, and 99% of them are out on DVD.
