I bought the championship dvd too. It's great if you're not an avid collector. But, I already have every match on the 2nd and 3rd disc on other dvd's. I wish WWE would have released more footage that hasn't been on dvd yet. I can't for the life of me figure out why they haven't put out the match where Bret beat Flair for his first world title.
I do think WWE did a great job on the dvd though. It just had too much stuff they've already released.

In case anyone cares, I just found that the new WWF Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 game (coming out in November) for Xbox 360 will be available in a bonus package. The bonus will be a WWE trivia book, tin, and disc 3 of the history of the championship (from the set).

Just in case anyone doesn't know the Brian Pillman and Summerslam dvd comes out on Tuesday. Circuit City is going to have the Pillman dvd for 14.99 and the summerslam dvd for 12.99. Those are some great deals. Also WWE shopzone has a deal going on right now where you can get the hogan dvd thats coming out next month, with a bonus 4th disc and a hogan t-shirt for around 25 bucks.

The $12.99 Summerslam deal at Circuit City also comes with a free copy of John Cena: Word Life.

His match against Lex Luger at Halloween Havoc '89 was fantastic!

I saw the Brian Pillman DVD on Amazon for only $14.99 and since I have Amazon Prime, it would save me $$ on tax so I decided to preorder it instead of picking up at Circuit City

It's a shame they were two of the worst hell in a cell and TLC matches ever.

Thanks for the head's up. I just ordered it from AMZ last night for $18.72 (with Backdraft SE). I just cancelled that and re-ordered.

really? 99% of the people writing in to the wrestling observer website gave it a thumbs up! Only 1 gave it a thumbs in the middle. No thumbs down. I'd be curious to see what the final tally was. I'm certainly going to get Unforgiven.

I watch the WWE for the entertainment/comedy aspect. If I want wrestling, I'll put in a TNA or ROH (they got another buy 3 get one free sale going on) DVD.

The Hell in a Cell match almost a half hour long, perpetuating a feud that should have been done months ago.

As for the TLC, I suppose it wasn't unwatchable, but there have been far better TLC matches.

Scored SS w/Word Life and the Pillman disc at CC for $24 thanks to a little 10 second survery they were running for a new rewards program they want to set up (guess the BB RZ thing is hurting them). It took 2 seconds to do and got me a $5 gift card for my trouble.

FYI the Word Life DVD was in its own separate DVD case and the 2 were shrinkwrapped together.

Anyone have any accurate info on the difference between the Walmart exclusive Hulk Hogan Anthology and the WWE Shopzone exclusive Hulk Hogan Anthology?

The 4th disc from the Walmart exclusive is supposed to have matches on it and the Shopzone one looks like it only has Hogan Knows Best episodes on it.

From WWE Shopzone:
This WWESHOP Exclusive 4 disc set covers the amazing career of the greatest Superstar in the history of sports-entertainment. Hulk Hogan has mesmerized fans from the birth of Hulkamania in the mid-80's, and continues to wow fans today. It's all here, from his classic battle against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III, to his 2005 induction into the WWE Hall of Fame and the recent premiere of his VH1 reality series, Hogan Knows Best. This release will chronicle his amazing career and spotlight a number of his classic matches:
€ ANDRE THE GIANT
€ IRON SHEIK
€ "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER
€ RANDY SAVAGE
€ RIC FLAIR
€ KING KONG BUNDY
€ UNDERTAKER
€ SGT. SLAUGHTER
€ STING
€ ULTIMATE WARRIOR
& MUCH MORE
The Hogan Knows Best Bonus Disc includes:
Season 1
WrestleMania
Hulk Hogan’s family watches as he is inducted into the hall of fame and performs at WrestleMania 21. Will Hogan be bitten by the wrestling Bug once again?
Season 2
Monkey Business
Linda brings a mischievous monkey into the Home without Hogan’s permission. When he tries to live in peace With the primate, it proves quite hard to handle.
Season 3
Hogan Knows Best: Special Sneak Peek
Hogan hangs up his wrestling boots and moves The family to Miami Beach to launch a new Grill, a cool energy drink and most importantly Brooke’s singing career. How will the family Adjust to their new surroundings?

When I read that, I think this is a 4-disc set. However, WWE Shopzone adds a bonus "Hogan Knows Best" disc along with the 4-disc set.

Edited to add:
Check out the description from HighSpots.com
http://www.highspots.com/product.asp?id=14393

It lists all 4 discs.

I heard somewhere that the Hogan disc was going to be sold similar to the DX disc. Shopzone exclusive for a couple months. Then available everywhere after that.

I'm pretty sure the Hogan Anthology has already been available for pre-order at most places for a while now.

I just picked it up tonight. I'll be putting it in and enjoying a few cold beverages here pretty soon. I'll keep you all posted on my thoughts on it. It looks like it's got a hell of a lot of good bonus matches.

If you saw Pillman in the early to mid 90's you'll love it. I'd buy it just for the Wargames match on it. Sid proves he's worthless on it.

Sounds like some fun lastofthewild1s. The match lineups does look good, and enjoy a few cold ones for me

Phineas444, Brian Pillman was one of my favorite wrestlers in the early-mid 90s so I'm sure I'll love it. I'll more than likely be going to Bestbuy to pick it up tomorrow.
