So I read through the whole insert... now what name did you guys put on the 20 dollar check? I can't find a "make check payable to" designation anywhere...

Yeah, that was quite a thing to leave off huh? According to this it should be made out to Friends Collectors Box Offer. I saw this after I sent mine in, and so I made mine out to something close to that but not quite. I hope I still get it. I want that so bad.

Sending in a copy or scanned slip isn't going to work. They only asked for the insert & 20 bucks (check or money order).....basically sending in the original insert is confirmation that you own the set since they didn't ask for any upc or receipts to be sent along.

Yup I think the slip says no duplications accepted too.

I finally saw this box at a Costco this week. It is indeed substantial. I'd peg the weigt of this box between 3 - 5 Lbs. Very sharp looking set.

I just got my final order and instead of the complete set DDD sent me season ten. Now I'll have to wait EVEN LONGER for my Friends collection. Oh well, DDD did good enough for me to get my money again at the next sale.
I wonder if that was meant for you or if they did that mistake a lot.

I was worried that I wasn't going to get my Blind Dead Collection but it ended up coming the next day.

I have a question regarding the number of these sets that were produced. I know the term "Limited Edition" is used quite loosely for DVDs these days and I don't want to cause panic or anything like that. Just wondering if someone who is informed can enlighten me. Reason I ask is this: I received my set from Overstock in a Warner Bros cardboard box like the one in HN's post. I know there is no numbering on the acutal set itself but the shipping box says "Carton No. (blank) of 30,000." Am I reading too much into this?

Friends Collector's Box

Hi everyone,

I purchased one of those "collector" boxes but I didnt receive anything yet, and its been over 3 weeks now. Im trying to find their phone number, so that I can check the status of my order. Does anyone who owns season 10, still have that paper which has their contact info on the back?

Many thanks everyone!
Alice

I'm pretty sure it said on the form to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery. Will probably be a few more weeks.

The phone number is 800-488-4640 and it says "Allow 8-10 weeks for processing."

I'm in Canada. Apparently since we didn't get the offer in our box sets we've got to email them (which I did). Wait for a response (this takes 2-3 weeks) in which you email them you're address so they can send you the coupon (apparently this is necessary to order). It's been about 2-3 weeks since I emailed my address to them and still nothing. After that I'm going to have to send away for the box plus pay almost $50 bucks Canadian (bring on the jokes but honestly that's about $40 bucks american) when I think it's only about 25 bucks american. It's totally ridiculous...

Not really. It's a big wooden box that is being shipped from the US...that's not cheap. Wait until you get the box, then consider how much money the shipping would be and you'll realize that it would cost that much to send it to Canada.

They have a Canadian division of the company complete with (I'd imagine) their own shipping factory, as we do have different distribution out here. That shouldn't warrant a $15 + price hike.

Doesn't hurt to try. I assume they'll send back your money if it's sold out.

True, except that the Canadian office chose NOT to participate in the offer, which is why the Canadian copies didn't include the flyer and you have to send away for it. These boxes are being shipped from the US, hence the higher shipping cost.

I sent my $20 check off 4 weeks ago and they haven't even cashed it yet. I wish they would hurry up and get it to me.

I don't know where you got that phone number but it's a phone sex line. I called today to ask why my box hasn't been shipped and got a sexy voice wanting to talk about her box if you know what I mean. I would say I've been ripped off but they still haven't cashed the check.
